Business Development Representative

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyze business development success. This individual will schedule meetings with clients in order to understand their needs. They will also work closely with sales and marketing teams to uncover new leads.

WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERY DAY:

  • Generate appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting (cold calling/emailing into high schools and colleges.)
  • Research schools to target leads in order to set up appointments for Sales
  • Work with Sales Director for a particular territory to help set travel schedule after appointments are made
  • Work directly with sales and marketing to discover opportunities from leads
  • Track data and enter information in HubSpot (we will train.)
  • Work with amazing people at ScoreVision who want to make a difference

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The primary goal in this role is to act as a consultant while scheduling in-person sales meetings with prospects and customers for the Regional Director.
  • Identify, develop and qualify business sales opportunities through prospecting activities by cold calling every day.
  • Monitor and track all existing phone calls, leads, and meetings using HubSpot (we will train you.)
  • Pro-actively develop strong business relationships using telephone and email resources to prospect accounts by providing exemplary service and support.
  • Must be able to establish a relationship with each potential client by being well versed in ScoreVision’s product introductions.
  • Ability to identify the decision makers among the targeted leads or new accounts in order to start sales process.
  • Continuous relationship building and constant follow-up to all leads.
  • Ability to positively promote product features in order to land an in-person meeting for Regional Director in a specific territory.
  • Partners with internal resources (e.g., Regional Director and Sales Team) to leverage solution-based outcomes for your customers.
  • Adheres to client expectations during the sales process with the ultimate goal of creating an ongoing relationship and customer retention.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Cold calling experience is a must 1-3 years.
  • Successfully exhibits suggestive and/or selling habits.
  • Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations where customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal.
  • Highly effective tele sales skills, including professional demeanor, artful negotiation skills, and outstanding phone etiquette.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and, in particular, the ability to craft professional e-mails and client-related documents.
  • Team-oriented operating style with effective interpersonal skills that allow successful business interactions with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Prefer experience with direct sales or previous selling, technical sales, marketing, or any experience working for school systems or other similar experience preferred.

  • Ability to develop an effective sales activity pipeline of sufficient cold calls, referrals and lead qualifications in order to efficiently set up continuous meetings for the Regional Director.

  • Work with limited daily supervision.
